Request an accessibility project

IATF reviews requests for accessibility projects that start from a real need.

You do not need a full specification. A clear problem, who it affects, and why it matters is enough to start.

Channels

Choose the easiest route

Website

Use the form below to submit a structured request.

Email

Send the request directly to contact@iatf.cc. Email requests may become public request records after review and redaction.

Discord

Start there if that is easiest. The request still moves into the same review.

Before you send a request

IATF works in public. Requests may be summarized and published as public request records in the IATF GitHub organization, on this website, or both.

Do not include private addresses, phone numbers, medical details, or identifying information about individual users of assistive technologies unless it is necessary and you are comfortable with IATF reviewing it.

IATF removes unnecessary personal contact details before publishing request records.

Review expectations

Submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance.

IATF reviews requests for mission fit, feasibility, usefulness, and whether the work belongs in a public repository.

Some requests may be declined, deferred, or reshaped before acceptance.

Gửi yêu cầu

Who is making the request?

How should follow-up happen?

Email address or Discord handle for follow-up.

Your preferred language, if relevant.

Describe the barrier in plain language.

Who would this help?

Share anything else that helps explain the need: why it matters, examples, references, a rough software idea, or timing constraints.

Accepted projects are public repositories under IATF.

If accepted

What acceptance means

  • a public repository in the IATF GitHub organization
  • a responsible engineer assigned to the project
  • a copyleft license for the code and project materials
  • public development in the repository
  • a registry entry on the IATF site

A short, clear request is enough to start

If you have a real accessibility need and think it should become a public project, send it to us.
